Transparency
The Prime Minister, in his letter to Cabinet colleagues of 1 June 2010, made a number of commitments to greater transparency in Government.
This included the commitment to publish on the HM Government website the following specific documents, within the timeframes shown:
- Salaries above £150,000 (June 2010)
- Departmental spending data (from June 2010)
- All new government ICT contracts (July 2010)
- All new central government tender documents for contracts over £10,000 (September 2010)
- ALB (Executive Agency, Executive Non-Departmental Bodies and Special Health Authorities) senior staff pay and details (October 2010)
- Departmental organogram (October 2010)
- ALB organograms (October 2010)
- Senior civil servants' pay and details (October 2010)
- New items of central Departmental spending over £25,000 (November 2010)
- All new central Departmental contracts to be published in full (from January 2011)
In line with these commitments, NHS CFH published the names, grades, job titles and annual pay rates for the most senior staff in the organisation.
This reflected the position at June 2010 for staff on the organisation's payroll. It did not include salaries for inward secondees, or staff on loan, which was to be picked up by the relevant home Department.
Any media queries on this matter should be directed to the Department of Health press office.
