Clinical applications and patient safety (CAPS) events
NHS volunteers are required for a new series of observations, interviews and hazard assessment workshops.
Events schedule from September to November 2009
You need to register for the NHS CFH Events system in order to book a place at an NHS CFH event. Each event summary includes a map/venue location, number of places per event and expenses claims information.
Any general CAPS queries about the reimbursement policy, workshops, dates, arrangements etc, should be directed to the CUI Project Support Officer at cuistakeholder.mailbox@nhs.net.
Patient Safety Assessments (PSAs), taking place at Microsoft offices in London
- Clinical Noting: Safe Display of Clinical Notes - 23 September 2009. We would like to talk to 15 people who write clinical notes as part of their clinical work, e.g. doctors, nurses, Pharmacists and AHPs.
- Patient Lists (Closing Risk Assessment) - 21 October 2009. We would like to talk to 10 doctors, nurses and AHPs who use patient lists as part of their clinical work, for example shift handover.
- Clinical Noting - Noting Using Templates (Closing Risk Assessment) - 3 November 2009. We would like to talk to 10 people who write clinical notes as part of their clinical work, e.g., doctors, nurses, pharmacists and AHPs.
- Clinical Noting - Safe Display of Clinical Statements (Closing Risk Assessment) - 25 November 2009. We would like to talk to 10 people who read and write clinical notes as part of their clinical work, e.g., doctors, nurses, pharmacists and AHPs.
The following interviews will happen at your place of work
- Clinical Noting: Noting in Electronic Forms - 9-14 September 2009. We would like to interview 20 people who write clinical notes as part of their clinical work, e.g., doctors, nurses, pharmacists and AHPs.
- Patient Lists: 24-29 September. We would like to interview to 15 doctors, nurses and AHPs who use patient lists as part of their clinical work, for example shift handover.
- Clinical Noting: Noting in Electronic forms - 9-16 October 2009. We would like to interview 15 people who write clinical notes as part of their clinical work, e.g., doctors, nurses, pharmacists and AHPs. In these sessions participants will be evaluating a prototype.
- Clinical Noting: Safe Display of Clinical Statements - 19-23 October 2009. We would like to interview 15 people (by telephone) who read and write clinical notes as part of their clinical work, e.g., doctors, nurses, pharmacists and AHPs.
