Response to media reports about LORENZO software development

There have been reports in the media about a joint review prepared by Accenture and CSC into the development of the LORENZO software product by iSoft.

In response to these reports, CSC, Accenture and iSoft have released the following statements:

CSC Statement

CSC can confirm that in February 2006 CSC and Accenture prepared a joint report into the development of iSoft’s LORENZO product. The content of the report is confidential and therefore CSC cannot comment on the detail although since the report, a joint action plan was prepared and has been implemented.

As an integral part of this plan, CSC has seconded a substantial number of staff to work with iSoft on the further development of LORENZO and enhance the end-to-end development process. That collaboration has been working extremely well and CSC has re-affirmed their commitment to working together with iSoft.

Accenture Statement

The joint report by CSC and Accenture was conducted in February 2006 and focused on assessing the status of the development process and developing a course forward for iSoft’s Lorenzo product.

Since that time Accenture, NHS Connecting for Health, CSC and iSoft have worked together to enhance the development process.

iSoft statement

Accenture and CSC prepared a joint report in February 2006 into the development of iSoft’s LORENZO product. iSoft prepared a response addressing the principal findings.

Following this, it was agreed that LORENZO had significant potential as a strategic solution for the NHS, and broadly the solution aligned to National Programme for IT functional requirements.

Since then, a joint action plan was prepared and has been implemented. As an integral part of this plan, CSC for example, has seconded a substantial number of staff to work with iSoft on the further development of LORENZO and enhance the end-to-end development process. That collaboration has been working extremely well and CSC have reaffirmed their commitment to working together with iSoft.
