Davis to be keynote speaker at BCS ASSIST Conference

NHS Informatics managing director Katie Davis is to be the keynote speaker at October's BCS ASSIST autumn conference. (Published: 23 September 2011)

The main focus of Katie's role is to develop the future strategic delivery model for NHS Informatics, in support of the broader health reforms currently underway. She has day-to-day responsibility for the continued availability of the national systems and infrastructure which underpin the NHS.

The British Computer Society's conference is a one-day event being held in London on 6 October and it is expected to cover informatics implications of the draft Health and Social Care Bill.

More details about the conference can be be found on the British Computer Society website. ASSIST is a "professional association for those working in and for informatics in healthcare and social care".
