Patient groups back the SCR

The Department of Health has announced that patient groups, including the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, are recommending that important information should be added to Summary Care Records to help communicate patients' needs during an emergency. (Published: 12 October 2011)

Summary Care Records will provide healthcare staff treating patients in an emergency with faster access to their patients' key health information, ensuring joined-up care.
