Blood safety tracking pilot

NHS Connecting for Health and the National Patient Safety Agency worked together with Mayday Healthcare NHS Trust on a blood tracking pilot scheme.

The system uses modern technology to track blood from sampling to transfusion, to help ensure that the correct blood is given to all patients.
