The NHS Classifications Service provides the national products and services to support the use of ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications in the NHS
The ICD-10 classification is published by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and is the copyright holder of ICD-10 which is used under licence for United Kingdom government purposes.
We have a new distribution mechanism and all release files will now be available to download from the Technology Reference data Update Distribution (TRUD) service. The data files available include Codes and Titles and Metadata, Tables of Coding Equivalences, associated specifications and the summary of changes. Download is subject to registration and acceptance of the Licence Agreement terms and conditions.
This gives latest information about ICD-10 updates – ICD-10 4th Edition - for NHS implementation and related support activities.
This publication provides latest national clinical coding guidance to ensure consistent application of the classifications.
We provide a national helpdesk service for queries about ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications.
