NHS Data Model and Dictionary Help Pages

The NHS Data Model and Dictionary has been updated to include 'Help' pages to enable users to:

  • learn more about the NHS Data Model and Dictionary
  • recognise the NHS Data Model and Dictionary components
  • learn how to navigate the product using the different components
  • view a short demonstration on each component, followed by three questions to check  user understanding
  • test  your  knowledge of the Help pages and the navigation options
  • view a presentation on the NHS Data Model and Dictionary Maintenance Process

Please note that:

  • Each demonstration includes a voice over and readable captions.
  • The content of these demonstrations is for training purposes only and therefore may not match the current content of the NHS Data Model and Dictionary.

All Help pages have a blue background so that they can be clearly identified separately from the NHS Data Model and Dictionary content.

The help pages have three icons which are a visual prompt to indicate that there is a hyperlink to either a:

The help pages can be accessed by selecting one of the Help links (as shown below) on the front page of the NHS Data Model and Dictionary at: http://www.datadictionary.nhs.uk/index.asp.
