myCodePlace is the portal to request changes or new additions to the Read Codes. Maintenance is an essential part of the life cycle of a terminology and myCodePlace streamlines the request submission process. Requests for change/new requests for both Clinical Terms Version 3 (CTV3) and Version 2 (V2) can be made via the 'myCodePlace' portal.

How do I start to use myCodePlace?

First time users should click on New User, and complete and submit their details to the datastandards helpdesk. The helpdesk will process the application and notify the user as soon as the registration details are cleared. The user will then be able to submit change requests to the UKTC by following a simple menu/form.

Pathology Bounded Code List requests

First-time users should register as a pathology user on the 'myCodePlace' portal. New requirements should be requested via the myCodePlace request portal. Users can request the new Read Code specification to the PBCL. Please see the guidance section before submitting any new/change requests.

Notice to users

The current Read code submission mechanism, myCodePlace, is due to replaced within a short period of time. There are known issues with the existing functionality which will not be addressed until the replacement tool is in place.

If you wish to withdraw / amend a request this cannot be done within the tool and should be sent via the datastandards helpdesk.
