The UKTC is the National Release Centre of SNOMED CT for the UK and distributes both the UK and the international release of SNOMED CT on behalf of the IHTSDO.

The UK Edition of SNOMED CT contains all international content as well as UK specific clinical content. To request a new term or concept use the dedicated SNOMED CT submission portal.

Users need to register to request new terms; after registration users are then able to submit requests for new terms or for changes to existing content to be considered.

It is also possible to view existing requests from other users to see if the term has already been requested. A help document provides advice and guidance on the facilities provided.
