Aims and objectives

The aim of the general practitioner (GP) user group is to:

• consult on and review the design and implementation approach for the Electronic Prescription Service for the GP community
• identify and review areas of business change and the impact the service will have on practice processes - ensuring that these are taken into account in the implementation of the Electronic Prescription Service within the GP community
• review GP process issues arising from the initial implementations of the Electronic Prescription Service
