Personal Demographics Service eLearning

The Personal Demographics Service eLearning course has been created to provide a high level conceptual awareness of what PDS is and how it is used. The primary objective of this course is to create:

"An improved understanding of PDS and better usage of demographic data through clinical applications. "

Audience
This course is aimed at any NHS staff members involved in the registration and/or changing of patient details on the PDS whose activities include:

• Registrations with a general practitioner
• Admissions to "Accident & Emergency" or "Minor Injuries"
• Receiving calls to NHS direct
• Scheduling a referral
• Admissions to an outpatients clinic
• Community staff involved in the registration of patients
• Clinicians

Prerequisite knowledge and skills required
A basic level of IT literacy (ECDL getting started or equivalent)
