QMAS Financial Year 2004/2005

GMS End of Year Update - March 2005 (PDF, 24Kb)
This guidance advises PCTs and SHAs of aspects of the end of year achievement payments that require attention. You are asked to ensure that this guidance is shared with all Finance Directors, QOF/GMS leads and all practices within the PCT.

GMS IT QMAS Guidance PCT Adjustment for Contract Duration - March 2005 (PDF, 156Kb)
This guidance advises on paying achievement to practices whose contract commenced after April 1 2004. The PCT will need to make an adjustment for contract duration. Failure to take action will result in these practices being overpaid. You are asked to ensure that this guidance is shared with all Finance Directors, QOF leads and all new practices within the PCT to whom this guidance applies.

GMS IT: the end of year implementation process - February 2005 (PDF, 29Kb)
This bulletin is to help you prepare for the new QMAS functionality to manage payment of achievement at year end. This functionality is being introduced in March 2005. The bulletin also sets out to provide more clarity around PMS points deduction. It is intended for each GMS and PMS practice participating in the national quality and outcomes framework and for all QMAS users at the NHS Bank, SHAs and PCTs.

This bulletin describes the manual and IT activities that are necessary to collect the final achievement data from each practice participating in the national quality and outcomes framework (QOF). It is intended for all QMAS users at the NHS Bank, SHAs, PCTs and all GMS and PMS practices participating in the national QOF.

GMS IT - QMAS Update Bulletin November 2004 (PDF, 113Kb)
This bulletin brings you an update of current QMAS activity and outlines new QMAS functionality that will be at your desktops in December 2004. It is intended for all QMAS users at the NHS Bank, SHAs, PCTs and all GMS and PMS practices participating in the quality and outcome framework (QOF).

The purpose of this guidance note is to inform SHA GMS leads of the action they need to take to enable SHA colleagues to access QMAS, the new national system to support the quality and outcomes framework. The QMAS SHA User Details Utility mentioned in this guidance will shortly be emailed directly to all GMS SHA leads. The utility will enable you to supply the details of SHA colleagues who will be given access to view SHA level quality and outcomes framework (QOF) summary reports and PCT level QOF achievement reports within their authority. Action is required by Tuesday 9 November 2004.

GMS IT - QMAS Practice Implementation Bulletin July 2004 (PDF, 134Kb) is a step by step guide to the implementation of QMAS which needs to be rolled out, implemented and activated in every GMS and PMS practice in England and this will occur over a period of time starting in August.

GMS IT - QMAS PCT Implementation Bulletin July 2004 (PDF, 134Kb) gives an overview of the QMAS implementation process and includes some preparatory steps PCTs are asked to complete.

GMS IT - Practice Identification Code Bulletin (PDF, 106Kb) informs practices of the action they need to take to ensure that the correct national practice identification (id) code is in use. This is in preparation for achievement data being sent to QMAS for the quality and outcomes framework payments to be made.

GMS IT Guidance - QMAS Registration Details (PDF, 103Kb) informs PCTs of the action they need to take to enable users in practices and PCTs to access QMAS, the new national system to support the quality and outcomes framework detailed in the GMS Contract 2003.

GMS IT Guidance - QMAS User Utility (ZIP, 423Kb) This utility enables a PCT to supply the details of two people within the PCT and one person in each of their constituent practices so they can have access to QMAS as soon as it is implemented. Once completed the utility should be returned to QID@cfh.nhs.uk by Wednesday 14 July 2004.
