The aim of this portal is to provide an online facility, a 'one-stop shop', containing information and links to Health Informatics professional and personal educational, leadership and managerial development opportunities. 

Purpose

The site is primarily an information filter for Health Informatics development opportunities; rather than duplicate information available elsewhere, it signposts users to original sources. This helps ensure that:

• latest versions of resources and information remain with and are owned by the originator (re-presenting duplicates inevitably leads to outdated content and the loss of credibility with users).
• sites work in partnership rather than competition (users are pointed to key content that increases use on other sites, providing an incentive for co-operation).
