Jobs
Many groups promote job vacancies, from journals to the internet, from local to national to international. When looking for jobs it is always advisable to scour many sources, including your local press and, often, your own organisation's intranet.
Health Informatics positions are many and varied, so finding the right job for you will require persistence. One useful way of finding job opportunities is to let employers find you: you can do this by posting your CV on a specialist web site, such as Monster.
When searching sites for jobs, make sure you understand how to enter search criteria properly so that the most appropriate job opportunities are displayed for you.
NHS Jobs offers one of the biggest points of access to employment opportunities in the NHS in England and Wales: we looked for jobs with a job title containing any of "IT, analyst, knowledge, coding, coder, web, information, computer, informatics, ICT, Information Technology, or IM&T" and found 270 current positions from more than 9000 on offer. More refined searches, e.g. by geography, reduce this number further.
