ETD Standard 8 - Facilities and Equipment
Facilities and equipment play a large part in determining the successful delivery of training. They need to be considered at the planning stage to ensure that adequate and appropriate facilities are in place for the actual delivery of training.
Facilities need to be fit for purpose and allow training to take place in an environment that is both safe and comfortable for trainers and delegates. Equipment that is used must be safe and fit for the purpose it was intended.
This standard summarises some of the common areas that informatics training services should consider to ensure that their IT setup and training facilities are fit for purpose. It recognises that additional local requirements may also have to be met when delivering product-specific training.
