Information Governance Assurance Framework

The Information Governance Framework for health and social care is formed by those elements of law and policy from which applicable information governance standards are derived, and the activities and roles which individually and collectively ensure that these standards are clearly defined and met.

The Information Governance Policy Team published a series of briefing notes providing IMPORTANT INFORMATION about information governance requirements.

NHS Operating Framework - Key Standards

Since version 9 of the IG Toolkit, all requirements are 'key' and organisations are expected to attain level 2 against all the requirements in their assessment set.
