Viewing SCRs

This section provides information about how NHS staff can view SCRs and contains support for local project teams that are implementing SCR viewing capability, including project documentation templates and examples of existing viewing projects.

In order to undertake a viewing project, a number of factors need to be considered, including the percentage of records in the local area that have been uploaded and the clinical support that is in place to ensure SCRs will be viewed as part of normal clinical processes.

The resources on these pages are intended to help the NHS with their SCR viewing projects from conception to implementation, and are supported by a small team of specialists in order to provide further advice and guidance. If you are planning an SCR viewing project, you can contact the central SCR viewing implementation specialists via the SCR Enquiries Mailbox on CFH.scr-enquiries@nhs.net or you can contact your local SCR Implementation Manager.
Before embarking on any viewing project, it is advised that all project team members and local champions run through the following training modules on the training pages of this website:

  1. SCR Core Concepts
  2. Viewing and Information Governance Concepts
