Using the NHS numbers supplied above, you can look at each of the applications available.

This organisation is also permitted to perform wildcard searches and searches using just the date of birth. You may perform a wildcard search on Amanda Biederbeck by entering Surname of Bieder* and Forename of A*.

A Caldicott Guardian's System

The Caldicott Guardian application will report on events which have taken place against an NHAIS system. It will allow the user to build a query by making selections from dropdown lists or by entering a specific NHS number.

Upon execution, a report will be generated. This may be downloaded as a comma-separarted values (CSV) file or printed as a PDF document. Alternatively, a statistical breakdown can be generated using the Open Exeter Statistics application.

Notes for User Practice

User PRACTICE can only see details of patients who are assigned to the GPs within the organisation settings as defined by the data controller. The user PRACTICE has had restrictions applied. These restrictions can be extended to either Partnership or PCO, or indeed any combination of restrictions.

These restrictions include:

• either Age range, DoB range or both;
• HA Q Code
• GP Local Partnership Code
• National PCO Code
• Sex
• GP Local Code
• National Practice Code
• Ex-directory Patients

General Notes

All User accesses are being stored for Audit purposes and are available to the Caldicott Guardian. That includes all accesses to this demonstration system.

The password change utility is available to all users and fully complies with the guidelines specified in the NHS IM&T Security Manual. Please do not change the passwords for the demonstration organisations.

The Display Permissions application and the Cipher Q Code application are also available to all users.
