What is Digerati

Digerati is an intranet management system which is free to NHS organisations and GP practices.  Digerati is developed and supported by NHS connecting for Health.

Digerati can be used to store documents that can be searched for by title, description or keyword.  Areas can be set up for all staff to upload and view documents and private areas for specific people to access.  Digerati also includes Message Boards and Directories.

Menu Bar

A menu bar across the top of the screen provides links to:

  • Home Page
  • What's New (automatically created)
  • Search (the title and description of additions to the Intranet)
  • Site Map (side-on view of the Intranet contents, automatically created)
  • Index (A to Z of Intranet contents, automatically created)
  • My Web (change personal settings such as frames, personal What's New)
  • Login (to provide access to hidden folders/documents)

Navigation Bar

Navigation down the left of the screen can include a link to switch between frames and no frames, the date, the time and any other HTML entered. Below these entries, the top two "levels" of folders as created, can be listed to provide a vertical navigation tool. Second "level" folders from the hierarchy arrangement are shown indented below the top "level" folders.
